Alice gets invited to speak at a national convention and wants to stand out from the crowd. She finds a very sharp tailored periwinkle suit which is going to pack like a dream. On the way out of the store, she happens to see an adorable pair of sling pumps in the very same, identical shade of periwinkle. A career-girl:
(a) Immediately buys the shoes in her size, got to have them.
(b) Looks frantically around the store for another outfit in periwinkle, so she can then buy the shoes - now they're justified.
(c) Has long since learned that the only color of shoes to buy is black.
