| Here I am in 1985, with my husband, Nick. Nick and I met at Fort Bliss, Texas while we were both serving as U.S. Army officers. We were married in Las Cruces, New Mexico over lunch. Then we flew home to my parents' in Pennsylvania, where they generously arranged for a nice party on very short notice. That's where I met Nick's family for the first time. (They were surprised, but nice to me anyway.) It wasn't a wedding full of riotous fanfare, but our marriage has lasted. We celebrated our 20th anniversary in June, 2005!
