Dremel produces a router table (Model 231) for its Moto-tool. However, this table is difficult to mount to surfaces, especially if you do not have a workbenck on which to clamp it. Be sure the table fits the Moto-tool you have. The router table fits all Dremel rotary tools except the Mini-Mite, MultiPro 7700 and model 260.

The stand shown in the photos above and in the drawing below provides a solid base for the table, makes it portable, and gives a place to store the various bits you may have.

Use a good wood such as multi-ply Baltic plywood. 1/2 inch is adequate. Cut to the proper measurements and glue and screw the assembly together.

The optional upright piece of wood attached to the fence provides an exact right angle for any vertical work, provides an assured straight surface, and also minimizes the gap at the cutting tool.

This router/shaper table can be used exactly like its full size counterpart. There are several router/shaper tools available, some with guides (pilots) at the top for placing a miniature decorative edge on wood.

CAUTION: Please use caution when using this machine with the plastic guard out of proper position. As with large shapers, this is sometimes necessary, however, the operator must take extra care in not loosing a finger while using the machine. The vertical backing does afford some protection as the cutting tool is partially buried, but a slip can cause injury.
Using push sticks is recommended. At this scale a useful push stick is a wood pencil with an eraser. Use the eraser end to contact the wood.
