[DAY, DATE, YEAR] at [TIME] pm

At [VENUE]

[ADDRESS] in [CITY], [STATE/PROVINCE]

The world of ancient Greece will come to life on stage at [Theater/Venue] in [City, State] on [Day, Date] at [Time] pm, as professional actors Laurie Portocarrero and Glen Williamson perform Aeschylus Unbound.  The Anthropos production comes to [City] as part of an international tour, including the United States, Canada, the UK and Ireland. Co-authored by Glen Williamson and the late Mala Powers, acclaimed star of film and television, Aeschylus Unbound is a new play about mysterious rituals, world-shaking battles and a warrior poet on trial for his life.

The play spans the life of Aeschylus, the first great playwright and the "father of western drama." The actors portray Aeschylus' tumultuous relationship with the high priestess of the temple of Demeter. Perception of the gods was fading, theater and democracy were just beginning and the future of Western civilization hung in the balance.

The play runs 2 hours with a 10 minute intermission.  For more information and to view a video excerpt from this play, visit the Anthropos website at www.anthropostheater.com.

Glen Williamson, a founding member in New York City of The Actors’ Ensemble and New Directions Theater, appeared in numerous productions with both companies, as well as with Walking the dog Theater.  He currently plays multiple roles in seven productions touring throughout North America and in Europe. His production company Anthropos (the Greek word for human being) seeks to uphold and celebrate what is truly human through the arts of theater and storytelling.

Laurie Portocarrero trained in the Chekhov method under Fern Sloan and Ted Pugh in 1995, and studied speech, movement and drama in the US, Switzerland and Australia. She is a long-time member of The Actors’ Ensemble and Walking the dog Theater, appearing in many of their productions. Laurie tours throughout North America and Europe in The Refugees’ Tale and Aeschylus Unbound. She tours North America in the widely acclaimed The Gospel of John. She directs a summer program for children, teaches adult workshops, and offers drama to special needs adults in New York’s Hudson Valley.
