Holliston 5K Road Race to Benefit Children's Hospital Boston

The Holliston 5K Road Race to benefit Children's Hospital Boston was established in 2006 by Barry Kriegsman, a former patient of Children's Hospital Boston.  Barry, currently a senior at Holliston High School (HHS), is a member of the HHS cross country,  indoor track, and outdoor track teams.  Barry created this event to combine his love of running with his desire to help Children's Hospital Boston and its patients.  HHS graciously hosts this event as Barry is a member of the HHS chapter of the National Honor Society.

Children's Hospital Boston is the nation’s leading pediatric medical center, the largest provider of health care to Massachusetts’ children, and the primary pediatric teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School.  In addition to providing unparalleled patient care, Children’s is home to the world’s largest pediatric research enterprise.  More that 500 scientists, including eight members of the National Academy of Sciences, nine members of the Institute of Medicine and 10 members of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute comprise Children’s research community.
