SUN & STARS
Astronomy is a wonderful hobby most anyone can enjoy. You can view the night sky
with binoculars and with any of the many telescopes available on the market today. Viewing the Moon can be as exciting as
viewing Saturn for the first time. The experience can take your breath away when you see a beautiful deep sky object such
as the ORION Nebula! All in our very own galaxy the Milky Way!
My newfound hobby within a hobby is observing our nearest star, the SUN in Hydrogen-Alpha!
H-A filters allow a very narrow bandwidth of light through the telescope to view the Prominences, Filaments, Sun Spots and
other active regions on the Sun's chromosphere.
This site is to allow me to share some of my photographs and other web sites showing spectacular
photographs of the sun.
A word of caution:
NEVER LOOK AT THE SUN WITHOUT PROPER EQUIPMENT!
You will cause permanent damage to your eyes.
