Welcome to RacerX's Arcade

Like many other people whose formative years fell in the late 1970s and 1980s, I love classic arcade games.  Ever since I first played Night Driver at the age of 8 in the local Dairy Queen, I have dreamed of owning my own arcade machine.  Through the years, I owned a ColecoVision, a Sega Genesis, and a Nintendo 64, but the home games never had the same feel of the big upright cabinets or cocktail tables of my youth.  I had resigned myself to the fact that those classic games were just a thing of the past.  That's when I, like so many before me, discovered M.A.M.E., the Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator.  And the dream was reborn...

I put this site together to aid others with their projects.  The cabinet is pretty much done except for a few finishing touches. I plan to make a new monitor bezel, and I have another Defender coin door that is better condition than the one currently installed. I would like to get it functioning even though I plan to keep the coin-up buttons on both control panels.
