Meals
I serve up
to 3 meals and 2 snacks a day. I am in
participation with the Child Nutrition
Program of So. CA. All children
in my care are required to eat from a specific nutritional guideline. A weekly menu will be posted in my
home. Nutrition can help your child
live a healthy and satisfying life.
Good nutrition is a life skill that is learned!
Clothing
Please have
your child appropriately dressed for the weather. Comfortable clothing and
shoes are required for Child Care appropriate shoes are a must sandals require
a back with strap. I take reasonable
care with cleanliness of the children, however I believe play is a way of
learning. At least one extra set of clothing for each child must be
provided on the first day of arrival, or may be brought on a daily basis.
This includes diapers, wipes, etc. to those whom it applies.
Health
and Safety
All childcare homes and centers in the state of California are required to check your child’s health each day upon entering the center. We are not allowed to accept your child in the center if they have any of the following symptoms:
* Temperature of 101 or more * Rash * Vomiting * Diarrhea * Chills * New
cough or cold * Earache
* Conjunctivitis * Communicable disease (chicken pox, mumps,
impetigo, etc.) * Noticeable change in
behavior
If your child has any of the symptoms
please keep your child home.
Accidents:
If your child gets a
small cut or scrape I will take care of it immediately and notify you when you
arrive. If it is a major injury, I will
notify you immediately. If I cannot
reach you I will notify 911 to transport your child to the Moreno Valley
Community Hospital if it is necessary.
Medication:
I will administer
medication with a physician’s note. By
law you must give the first dose, due to possible allergic reactions. Only one dose of a non-prescription
medication may be administered in the course of an illness, unless a licensed
health practitioner approves the administration of the medication and the
dosage. This must be in writing on a
paper from RX Prescription Pad
Discipline
Here at Stanley Family
Child Care I feel that I need to have a positive way to help the children
understand what is acceptable and unacceptable behavior. I give the child two verbal warnings letting
him/her know what behavior isn’t allowed, and then I give them other
options. If after two warnings the
behavior doesn’t stop, the child will be sent to the table where they can play
quietly by him/her self for 1-13 minutes (time out according to age). The child continues with unacceptable
behavior they will be asked to choose another play center.
