An exciting summer camp for children
6 YEARS OLD- 12 years old!
“"Camp
is a time when children are out of the structured
school setting. This is an excellent time
to let them experience the outdoors, enhance
their physical abilities, and build new
relationships and friendships. One of the
things I get the most enjoyment out of is,
giving children and their parents two months
where they can fulfill their every need
for a complete and exciting summer. Camp
Summit is a place where the number of campers
is small enough for children to get their
individual needs met, yet have enough children
so that each child can connect with others
and build fulfilling friendships. We provide
swimming, tennis, outdoor sports, interactive
games, nature and field trip experiences.
A theatrical staff that joins us for eight
weeks also actively involves the campers
in preparing and performing a play. The
children get a chance to act while acquiring
social skills, building self confidence,
speaking with and in front of people, while
getting that wonderful feeling of being
part of something that is spectacular. I
look forward to my “summertime”
time with children, and what a wonderful
feeling it is to see and make a difference
in any family’s summer experience!”

Camp Summit is a fun way for
your child to spend the summer weeks! We provide
time with friends to learn and grow socially
together as well as an environment that enables
and encourages them to make new friends and
try new experiences. |

Swimming!
Camp Summit has the use of a private pool three days a week. In addition, there is outdoor water play under the sprinklers. |
|
Outdoors!
Camp Summit is located near the beautiful Wissahickon and Valley Green. Much of our summer learning happens in the great outdoors. |
|
|
|
Field Trips!
Field trips to Philadelphia area attractions are a wonderful part of Camp Summit’s program. We also receive special visitors who bring field trips to us. |
|
Celebrating the Arts!
|
Our
camp provides innovative creative and performing
arts in the summer program. We’ll
be singing, dancing, playing and learning
about acting and playbuilding. It all culminates
with the campers ending the summer with
a stage performance. |
Celebrating Activity! |
| Tennis anyone? Camp Summit adds tennis to the long list of organized outdoor activities we offer. We'll head to the courts for instruction and play. We love to keep moving! (With plenty of breaks for water!) |
Celebrating Each Other! |
| Armed with their own cameras, campers will turn their summer into an experience to remember. All of our campers will make a personal Camp Summit journal that will include photos of projects, field trips, and special thoughts of their personal experiences here at Camp Summit. |
We believe that a high quality summer camp program should provide for the recreational, social and emotional needs of children. We provide an environment that is structured enough to be safe and interesting, but allows children to have a great deal of independence and choice.
Our
staff are selected for their experience,
enthusiasm, special skills, and love of children!
All staff members are screened and are required
to have child abuse clearances and criminal record
checks. We have staff on site with First Aid and
CPR training.
Camp Summit's facilities include:
- A large gym
- An enclosed outdoor wooded playground
- Air conditioned activity space
- Walking distance to Carpenters Woods
