KIA January 7, 1945

 

Born May 25, 1909 in Kansas City (Missouri), PFC Walter Fay French lived in Los Angeles County (California).  He was operator machine in a tent factory and was unmarried.
He enlisted in the army in July 7, 1942 in Los Angeles and was killed in action the January 7, 1945 in surroundings of Verleumont, Joubieval and Regné in Belgium.
He is buried in Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, plot H, row 7, grave  62 and was decorated with Purple Heart.
