The Felice Lesser Dance
Theater (FLDT) creates and performs new dance works. In its thirty-three year
history, the company has produced almost fifty dance works, a full-length play
about dance and dancers (which featured projected computer animation and
choreography), video/dance works, a number of original television broadcasts,
and many contemporary music and contemporary art collaborations. The FLDT is
committed to education as well as performance, and has developed an extensive
program of lecture-demonstrations, cla
sses, residencies and workshops to
develop audiences and bring the general public and students into the creative
process. The company feels strongly that dance should be available and
accessible to all, and provides outreach and free ticket programs to special and
underserved populations. The Felice Lesser Dance Theater is a member of Dance/USA and the Association of Performing Arts Presenters
(APAP).
