I began trimming my own horses' hooves in April of 2004, which has since turned into a full-time trimming career. I follow the wild horse model in my trimming and am continuously learning about the equine foot. Each horse is a new challenge to learn from and a new opportunity to observe the natural processes of growth, adaptation, and healing of the hoof. The ideals brought from the naturally worn hooves on the wild horses in the western United States to the domestic horses I trim are never forced on the hoof, but rather encouraged through progressive trimming.
