We are a group of concerned parents, grandparents, neighbors and park users who oppose the City's and the Union Square Business Improvment District plan for a permanent year-round restaurant in the north end of Union Square Park. The plan does not provide the maximum amount of much needed play space. It prohibits the use of the pavilion for a variety of year-round public activities for children, families and the community,

We seek the support of private citizens and public officials to halt this commercial encroachment into the park.
