The Army Engineer Association is dedicated to protecting the traditions and heritage of the Corps of Engineers of the United States Army; promoting the entire Army Engineer Regiment, millitary and civilian; serving to unite prior service Army Engineers with those now in the force; educating the military and general public about the history of Army Engineering -- its people, units, and organizations; and recognizing the excellence of Army Engineers and the units and organizations in which they serve.

The Montgomery C. Meigs Chapter of the Army Engineer Association (AEA) is the Washington, D. C. area Chapter of AEA. Membership is open to members of AEA free of charge. In addition to the benefits associated with membership in AEA, Meigs Chapter members receive Chapter Notes containing information of interest to Chapter members.

The Army Engineer Regiment is composed of military and civilian personnel from the following categories:

  • Engineer troop units
  • Corps of Engineers Districts, Divisions & Laboratories
  • Army Public Works directorates and major command staff engineer sections
