BAND PRACTICE FOR UPCOMING CONCERT AND CHRISTMAS PARADE
• MONDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 2009 – ALL BAND 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. GUARD: 6 – 9:00 PM
• WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 2, 2009 – ALL BAND 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. GUARD 6-9:00 PM
COATESVILLE CHRISTMAS PARADE
• SATURDAY, DECEMBER 5
• BAND REPORT TIME: 8:00 AM. DRESS IN FULL UNIFORM
• As long as it is safe to do so, the parade will be held. In the event of bad weather it will be announce the parade's cancellation over Comcast Cable Channel 66 in the Coatesville area and on our parade home page: Coatesvillechristmasparade.com
• BUSES LEAVE ARRIVE CASH 8:15 AM
• BUSES LEAVE FOR WEST END COATESVILLE: 8:30 AM where they will line up for the parade.
• BAND WILL CARRY THEIR INSTRUMENTS WITH THEM ON THE BUSES. NO BIG RED WILL BE USED TO TRANSPORT INSTRUMENTS
• LITTLE RED WILL BE USED IN THE PARADE AS IN THE PAST. If it’s cold/rainy, will use Big Red.
• The entire band will march from West End of Coatesville to 11th ave (business route 30). Playing along the way.
• Chaperones: If you wish to walk with the band during the parade, please walk BEHIND them. Each year the Chaperones carry a basket and Hand, do not throw, individually wrapped candy to the spectators along the route. Please let me know if you plan to participate in the parade.
• Candy donations are requested for the parade route.
• Judging takes place between 10 and 11th ave.
• All Students MUST be picked up at CASH AFTER the parade. NO ONE is allowed to leave the parade after 11th Ave. All students MUST ride the bus back to school. One year we had a student leave with a family member at 11th ave and the other parent was at school looking to pick them up and everyone spent several hours looking for this student. This is why we do not permit any one to leave the group until returning to school, besides, the students need to get out of their uniforms.
NOTE: SAT’s are also being held on Sat. 12/5/09 at the CASH Campus. It is very important NOT to use the hallways near the Cafeteria. If any Band member is taking their SAT’S on 12/5, notify Mr. Otto ASAP.

ATTENTION ALL CHAPERONES
The 2009 Fall schedules is attached (Click here). Only a few chaperones are needed for home games. Help for home games is to assist the band getting ready prior to the games and organizing and putting the uniforms away after the games. Only a small handfull of chaperones are needed in the stands at the home games. The same number of Pit help is needed for both home and away games. We will need 17 permanent chaperones on the buses for the AWAY games plus alternates that can fill in when a permanet cannot make the away game at the last minute. Nurses/EMTS are also needed.
Requirements for All Chaperones and Pit Dads:
As in the past, it is mandatory that all Chaperones/Pit Dads are required to complete 2 background checks. In order for you to volunteer as a Chaperone/Pit Dad both forms are to be completed and turned into Debbie Weaver no later than August 28, 2009. Failure to complete these application will result in you not being able to Chaperone/Pit Dad. (Please note that you are responsible for payment of the reports. The cost will not be reimbursed by CPMC, school district, or be deducted from the requied band dues)

PIT DRIVERS (ONLY REQUIRED FOR ANYONE WHO WILL DRIVER BIG RED, VANS, BOX TRUCK)
The School District Insurance carrier is requiring that all drivers of school district equipment, vans, box truck, big red, etc, submit a Drivers History
report to be eligible to drive these vehicles. This information must be submitted only if you will be driving one of these vehicles.
You can access this Driver History Report on line. The cost is $5.00 for a 3 year and 10 year history report. You pay by credit card on line and at the end of the
session your Driver History Report will appear. (Please note that you are responsible for payment of this history report. The cost will not be reimbursed by CPMC, school district, or be deducted from the requied band dues).
