For most of this decade, I have enjoyed working with many international organizations and officials throughout the world to appreciate and understand Internet technologies, initiate connectivity, and effectively use it.

Some of this work involved France through its Washington DC embassy. On 25 May 1995, the Ambassador of France to the United States, the Hon. Dr. Jacques Andreani, presents the medal of the embassy for assisting the Ambassador, his scientific counsellor Bruno Oudet, and embassy staff in Internet initiatives between 1992 and 1995. Ambassador Andreani and counsellor Oudet played a leading role in working with French ministries, the French legislature, French companies, and Foreign Ministry staff to become familiar with the Internet, and undertake many innovative Internet-based activities.
