From as early as I can remember, I've loved to climb high in the mountains. During my days with Pan Am Engineering, I developed an affection for traveling to the the Valais region of Switzerland and the Himalayas to do high mountain trekking.

One particular area has always been my favorite - the many 4000 meter peaks and valleys surrounding the Zermatt, Switzerland area. Among these, the route leading up to the East face of the Matterhorn is my favorite, often shared with my children.
