On this page I'll share with you some of the treasures I've found!  Some are people, and some are resources such as books and videos.  Left to right: (back row): Uwe, one of our friends from Germany, representing a Peace/Sound chamber there; Angie Rapalyea, Jane Marron, Kristen Bissinger (Sun-Moon Dance Chief & chamber-keeper in PA), Fletch Jenkins and Carlo Popolizio, all from the Birdsong Chamber in PA; Front row: Brigid Meagher (drum chief), Joseph Rael, Betty Jenkins, and Tom Bissinger (Drum Dance Chief & chamber-keeper), all but Joseph from the Birdsong Chamber in PA.  Everyone in the picture has ceremonial duties at Peace chambers or sweat lodges worldwide.

Blessing the foundations of a new Peace Chamber

Joseph's Sun Dance vision showed him sound emanating from the form of a person; he learned that we are all made up of principle ideas, vi-
brating in different ways.  Science now tells us about molecules vibrating, but Native people's Mys-
tery School teachings have always reflected that truth.  His elders informed him that he'd had a 'true vision' and that he must go out into the world to honor the vision.  In this photo he is blessing the foun-
dations of an early chamber, in Swannanoa, NC.  It is on top of a mountain, in old Cherokee country, and throws phenomenal sound.  Zoe Bryant is the Chamber Mother, and as an amazing artist has endowed it with many beautiful touches.

Notice the haunting quality of the two wall niches: Zoe Bryant, chief caretaker of the Peace Chamber at Earth's Ancestral Voices center, made all four candle 'spirit niches', incorporating facial components of tribal people from all over the earth.  They are powerful and add to the incredible 'vibe' of being in her chamber.  She is a gifted artist and makes many kinds of ceremonial items.  (Swannanoa, NC)

I have always been drawn to the Native American philosophy of respect for all life forms, gentleness in one's Earth Walk and having an open-hearted sense of acceptance for other societies.  I have been blessed to have as a mentor, teacher and friend, Joseph 'Beautiful Painted Arrow' Rael, modern-day mystic, author, teacher, healer and international advocate for peace.  You see the large photo here, taken in the fall of 2005 at one of his Peace Congresses, which occur every few years.  Many of his students who maintain Peace/Sound Chambers in locations around the world come together as a loving community at these Peace Congresses.  This is a group of us, having fun together in the meal tent; I am the second from the left in the back row, and Joseph is sitting in the centre.

To read more about Joseph Rael, please Google his name and you'll find lots of material

Right, feeling so good after the Sun Dance!

Harking back to a previous life? I've seen them!

November, 2005: at a Day of the Dead honoring party
Not this serious all the time!~

We had a great evening, all of us dressed to honor someone who had gone before.
Potluck food is always delicous, just as we have it after the sweat lodges.
Looking serious at camera-toting Judy: enjoying
the evening in my 'gifted' Apache War Shirt.  On the Day of the Dead we honor favorite people who have passed on ahead of us.  I was thinking of all the native people and shamans who died keeping their sacred customs alive for future generations.

I also honor the East and its healing traditions. Please click on the Reiki Energy Healing button to see what else I offer!

I have no photos of Drs. Michael Harner, Sandra (Sandy) Ingerman,  Felicitas Goodman, or Hank Wesselman, much respected shamanic teachers of mine and many other people.  Do please go to their websites or other links shown below.  All
are very experienced, well-trained, knowl-
edgeable and ethical shamans, who have spent years giving of themselves in order
to offer thousands of people a window into the spirit-world and a much richer life experience.

Joseph E. Rael, also called Beautiful Painted Arrow, has been my most significant teacher and mentor since 1987.  Of dual tribal lineage, he is the son of a Southern Ute Curandera (woman doing healing work), the granddaughter of a chief, and a Picuris Pueblo (North Central New Mexico) chief.

As an adult, Joseph had a Sun Dance vision which required him to travel around the country and the world, causing structures called Peace Chambers to be built.  This was in order to avoid a World War.  There are 70 or 80 of them, in various states of completion, on several continents.  People meet either weekly or monthly and chant for world peace, as well as doing sound healings on each other.

I recommend that you pick up a copy of his latest book,
The House of Shattering Light, to find out about some parts of his life.  There is also material about his childhood in one of his previous books, Being and Vibration, co-authored with his student Mary Elizabeth Marlow.  The full story has never been told...yet.

There is much to be said about Joseph, so I recommend you 'google' him and see various websites which already exist.  I honor him and consider myself fortunate to be on the earth at the same time with him.

My favorite music will be added to the site later on...

Dreamtime Return (double CD), by Steve Roach: great for meditative states or just for sitting quietly after a busy or stressful day.
