ADVISORY
Our advisory
meets daily. My role as your advisor
is to be your personal contact with the school.
I keep copies of your locker number and class schedule.
If you are having a problem with a class, a teacher or a student, my job
is to be your advocate. If you need
academic assistance, I will put in for an Honor Society tutor.
The advisory is meant to serve as your “family” in school.
We will celebrate everyone’s birthday (or half birthday if yours is
during vacation). We decorate for
holidays, award advisory certificates and compete against other advisories for
various contests.
Your
responsibility is to get to know other members of the advisory and to help me
help you.
THE
TON OF LOVE CANNED FOOD DRIVE IS COMING! iT WILL BEGIN THE WEEK OF
NOVEMBER 16TH. PLEASE BRING IN CANS. THURSDAY CANS THE VALUE OF
TUNA, PEANUT BUTTER, CEREAL, FRUIT JUICE AND CANNED FRUIT IS WORTH DOUBLE CANS
IN COUNTING. OUR ADVISORY HAS SET A PERSONAL GOAL OF 250 CANS PER PERSON.
YOU CAN SEND IN MONEY OR CANS. MRS. HG WILL SHOP FOR YOU AFTER SCHOOL. HER
CHALLENGE: LAST YEAR WE BROUGHT IN OVER 2,700 CANS. IF WE AT LEAST DOUBLE
THAT, SHE WILL MAKE WAFFLES AND BREAKFAST FOR THE ADVISORY. IF WE BREAK
5,500, SHE WILL MAKE BREAK FAST TWICE.
