One might research this concept genetically and a project might be initiated so groundwork for this
idea becomes reality. It might take along time to get somthing like this into the works, but hopefully that much sooner
with shared interest. Please see the bottom of the blog for contact info and contact me if interested.
One might lay a seed foundation using biotic green technology to grow living tree dwellings. The inside
walls bark, within reach, might be a composite of cinnamon, eucalyptus and cactus to provide oxygen, while
the outside bark might be dark green evergreen cactus. A unified genetically pleached branch (see arborsmith.com
for defintion of pleach) or large appropriately placed leaves might serve as a roof. These leaves could be the
width of a palm (about 2 feet) and length of a platano (about four feet long) overlapping each other so rain water could drain
off. One might use the opaque portions of varigated leaves to form semi diaphanous windows that allow
light into the living dwelling. Big cotton pods stemming from the interior of the home might be used as beds
and chairs. Likewise cork could be used as a flooring that could continually grow from the floor. If rain was
an issue one might also have hollow drainage trunks that allowed water to drain from the roof to the roots below
(like bamboo without the internal structural segments). The roots might be oriented like an upside down mushroom
cap that might "cup" and collect liquid and dissolved soil nutrients to provide maximum absorption of said nutrients.
Guttation to a nepenthes truncata or rafflesia might be feasible? One could have all the food producing
plants in the makeup of the living plant home to provide a nourishing liquid food source if one got thirsty. Said
liquid grain, legume, nut, seed, and fruit matrix could be specifically designed at the genetic level for the
individual who was thirsty to give the most efficient food possible. Using the genetic material of all flora
such as: baobab (for life span and girth), bristlecone pine (life span), and redwood (life span, height, insect resistance
and fungal resistance), one could have a food and oxygen producing shelter that could lived several thousand years and might grow
to functionality rapidly using Kudzu dna which grows a foot a day or seaweed which grows two feet a day (if the right
nutrient mediumwas used). Bioluminescent fungi might be used at the cellular level in conjunction with chloroplast
to give a living light.

maybe something like this will exist hopefully something even less dense.
