My wife Mari and I took a hike this weekend in the Ramapo Reservation located in Mahwah, NJ. We took a 4.6 mile hike looping around the lake and then up to Hawknest Rock look-out. We continued hiking to Monroe Ridge, and then back down to the parking lot. Approximately, 500 to 600 foot vertical, but with some descents and climbs. It was a beautiful day. Started at 1:00 pm and were back to the car by 4:00.
