Hi everyone , Thank you for taking the time to view my site. Although I am using much of this space for pet
portraits, I will gradually include more of my other pieces. There has been much diversity over the course of
my life that has been reflected in my work and I will try to highlight a little of each of these eras.
This drawing is "Pam" a four month old tabby kitten. I did the drawing as the result of a raffle and the
profits went to Cat Rescue Inc. A copy of the drawing was submitted to Cat Fancy Magazine for the "Flights of
Fancy" section , which has evolved into the Art Gallery & Culture section . My drawing appeared in the
first edition of this section, on page 87 in the Dec. 06 issue along with a cartoon and a delightful child's drawing.
(good company for me) . Their notification came as quite a surprise since it had been a year since I sent the artwork
in, and had completely forgotten about it.
I continue to draw and paint.... More dogs than cats and more of both than people. This year
I will make an effort to produce more cat related pieces and begin a wildlife series. ... I never know really what will
come my way.
I enjoy making jewelry and usually have a display when I do shows. . I also love gardening.
and make the most of my flowers by pressing them, and using them in a process that I developed, on the outside
of votives. I will soon provide a link to my crafts.
My three cats are Lyric, from the Spca, Ninja, which just happens to be Siamese, from Cat Rescue Inc. and
Jama Jama, a seal point Himalayan. I just completed Ninja's drawing . His portrait was exhibited in
the "Cats Meow" cats only event at the Artist's Gallery in Va. Beach.
Famous people who own my work include President Clinton- an oil portrait I did of him ,and
a pencil drawing I did of his mother are in his library, Elton John, a portrait in pencil of Lady Diana, presented
to him at the amphitheatre in Va. Beach. Niel Young, an oil painting of a running horse in the clouds, Ernest
Angley , of his vision as a child, The woman at the well, which was used on "The Power Of The Holy Ghost"
Magazine cover, 3 other magazine covers for him, his portrait as a baby, and several more .
Also I designed a T-shirt for Seals and Crofts for their mid western tour a long time ago.
Some of the work on this site you may have seen on Cox Cable as a "Support the Arts in Hampton Roads"
(with Music) clip between shows.
The Cat Fancy managing editor surprised me again in the
Feb. issue of their magazine, by publishing a letter I wrote to her. You will find it on page 6 and 7.
