UUCA  Ongoing Programs

September 27: "Forgiveness," Lee Marie Sanchez states, "Forgiveness is not forgetting, but a process of letting go so that we have room in our lives for what is important to us - love, joy, happiness, and healthy relationships. This is our fourth annual sermon on this topic and one of our most popular. People tell me that this is a renewing experience which brings them a sense of peace and healing, and opens their hearts to joyful possibilities. We will, appropriately, honor the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur, the "Day of Atonement."

October 4: Association Sunday. This is the day that we honor and support our national Unitarian Universalist Association, headquartered in Boston, Mass. Bill Smith and Gary Sjogren will present a program on the theme of diversity, a key UU value.

October 11: Gustavo Arellano, columnist for the Orange County Weekly, will speak on "The Unknown Progressive History of Orange County." Gustavo is the author of a book entitled "Orange County" and writes the well known column in the O.C. Weekly entitled "Ask a Mexican."

October 18: Lee Marie Sanchez, Consulting Minister. "Hinduism," is a broad term for a group of many diverse traditions and may be considered the oldest living religion or the oldest major tradition. It is the third largest world religion with approximately
one billion adherents. Come and join us this morning and you may be surprised to hear the connections of this faith with Unitarian Universalism.

October 25: Lee Marie Sanchez, Consulting Minister. "United Nations Sunday," is celebrated in many of our UU congregations around the world. We have had a long and close relationship with groups seeking world harmony, peace & social justice. You will enjoy hearing about the people and projects  of UU-UNO, the Unitarian Universalist United Nations Office, this  morning.
