Al's Chili Verde

Great with eggs and served with tortillas.

Method

Take a 3 or 4 lb pork roast and poke holes in it with a knife and insert 1/2 cloves of garlic in each hole.( I usually do about 8 holes.)

Place roast  and one onion in big pot and slow cook till the pork starts to fall apart. Then shred the pork and remove bones.

Add two more chopped up onions. I
usually buy 5 small cans (or two large) of whole mild green Chile's.  Slice into
long strips and toss them in the pot. Add 3 lbs of sliced mushrooms and one or more cans of Jalapeno peppers.  Salt & Pepper to taste.

Simmer for another hour and serve as burritos or with scrambled eggs

Ingredients

3 - 7 oz cans diced green chili's
3 - 8 oz cans mushrooms
3 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 - 3 to 4 lb pork roast
3 small onions
4 small garlic bulbs
Optional: 2 or 3 Jalapeno peppers.
