 Al's Turkey with wild rice and mushroom dressing |  | | Enjoy with good friends and a nice bottle (such as Vista Del Paso Merlot,) or two. |
|  Method | Cook rice as per instruction, except us 1/2 water and half orange juice. After the rice is cooked add mushrooms, cranberries, and water chestnuts. Add more orange juice is the dressing is getting dry, it should be fairly moist. Now stuff it! (In the turkey that is.) Put the turkey inside of a greased brown paper bag. (Pam works great.)
Bake at 325 for about 2 1/2 hours, tear off the bag and continue cooking until done, basting with orange juice when needed. |
