Hamann Family Recipes Boop's Pork Chops Ala Orange | |
| Method | Mix flour, salt, pepper. Rinse the pork chops and dip them into the flour mixture. Put the left over flour mixture off to the side as you will use it later. Put the oil in a frying pan and heat. Lightly brown the pork chops in the hot oil. Insert a clove in the top of each pork chop, add the orange juice and simmer 45 minutes. Add more juice if you need to as chops are cooking.
Remove the meat and place on a serving platter. Take the remaining flour mixture and put it in a small sauce pan. Add a little orange juice and stir. Heat until your mixture thickens into a gravy. Spoon gravy mixture over the pork chops and garnish with slices of orange and serve.
Note: Also tastes good with chicken breasts, but omit the clove. |
