Bay Brass Publications was founded in 1992 to publish music for Brass Quintets.  These arrangements and transcriptions were all done by Mark MacKinnon, who spent 16 years as the trombonist and director of the Narragansett Bay Brass Ensemble, a very active "amateur" quintet.  You are therefore assured that these arrangements have been thoroughly tested and also that they don't require super-virtuoso abilities for their mastery. They will provide ample challenge for players of all abilities and enormous satisfaction for performers and audiences alike.  One of the hallmarks of these arrangements is the distribution of key melodic and harmonic passages among all five instruments.  Another distinguishing feature is that rarely has another version of them been available through the Brass Players Guide published by Robert King Music Sales, Inc..
