MARK MACKINNON has been playing the trombone since he was nine, in Concert and Marching Bands, theater orchestras, big bands,
brass ensembles, and as principal trombonist of the Wellesly (MA) and, currently, Fall River (MA) Symphony Orchestras. He recently
added to his credits by performing in a jazz club in New Orleans. For 16 years he was the trombonist and director of the Narragansett
Bay Brass Ensemble and did many of their musical arrangements. In 1992 he formed Bay Brass Publications to publish these arrangements
and currently has 17 works enjoying world-wide distribution and acclaim. He was recently elected to the American Society of Composers,
Authors & Publishers (ASCAP). Mr. MacKinnon holds a BA in Mathematics and an MS in Computer Systems Engineering, both from
Northeastern University. He is a Software Engineer at SAIC Enterprise Solutions in Middletown, RI.
