WILLIAMSBURG, VIRGINIA
August 2001
Our first major breakdown occurred just as we entered Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, when the fuel pressure began to fluctuate. Luckily we were able to limp to a local Ford dealer and were even more surprised to find that he had a fuel pump, the pump fits inside the 75 gallon gas tank, in stock. They even offered a loaner vehicle so that we could enjoy a relaxing dinner and pass some time exploring the local shops. Our RV storage procedure now includes treating the gasoline with a stabilizer and keeping the tank less than half full so that fresh fuel can be added at the start of each trip. |

KOA Williamsburg Williamsburg, Virginia. This was our initial destination campground, however we quickly moved to the adjacent KOA Colonial Williamsburg campground. The Colonial campground has larger sites with fire rings, a larger and more appealing pool and fewer insects.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg has become our favorite theme park. The Park is beautifully landscaped and maintained with a large selection of rides and very entertaining live shows. |
Water Country USA Williamsburg, Virginia. This was our first visit to a water theme park and we had a blast, especially on the rides we could enjoy as a family. |
Colonial Williamsburg Williamsburg, Virginia. Having seen many segments on PBS from Williamsburg, we were initially slightly disappointed. However, this quickly passed as the day progressed and we experienced more of the interactive displays and tours. |
Virginia Beach. Our granddaughter had never been to the ocean, so we spent a day at the beach, boardwalk and the storefronts. |
Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort Buchanan, Virginia. Small semi-rustic campground.
