After experiencing a cool Gulf Coast last year, we decided that this year we would leave latter, March 1, and travel further south to the Keys. |
Summersville Music Park Campground Summersville, West Virginia. A better choice than our last stay in Summersville. Off season sites are limited to parking on the gravel roads in an open area of the campground. |
Green Acres Family Campground Walterboro, South Carolina. This is our second visit and the campground has become neglected. |
KOA Cape Kennedy Titusville, Florida. Campground was filled with Bike Week participants and we were assigned to an overflow site. |
Sunshine Key Camping Resort Sunshine Key, Florida. If you ever dreamed of Rv'ing to a private tropical island read on. Sunshine Key is a small key located at the southern end of the Seven Mile Bridge and has only three features, Highway 1, a State Park and the resort. The resort was well maintained with good recreational facilities. The weather and sunsets were gorgeous; the only negative is the time that you have to spend traveling to other attractions. |

Bahia Honda State Park Sunshine Key, Florida. The park has one of the few beaches in the Keys and several manatees were in the marina. |
Theater of the Sea Islamorada, Florida. Provides both an entertaining and educational experience, a very enjoyable day. |
Key West, Florida. We spent an entire day exploring the city and shops and watched a gorgeous sunset from Mallory Pier. |
Strike Zone Charter Big Pine, Florida provides charters to the Looe Key National Marine Sanctuary. The charter is primarily for snorkel divers, but the boat has a glass bottom for the rest of us land lovers, very beautiful. |
KOA Cape Kennedy Titusville, Florida. On the return trip we were assigned a regular site, the heated pool was very comfortable. |
