On Feb. 10th 2002 , I, (Nutty_Niller_13), in order to have a bunch of friends to play with, created NUTT_TREE. We play ladder leagues, the rated rooms, tourney rooms, social rooms

Once you join our team, your name will not be changed, this helps us keep in touch with our players and who they are. We consider our team a family of friends, and we want to keep it that way.

The following are the steps in order to complete a successful sign-up on our team. If you are reading this you are interested in joining, if after reading this page you are still interested, and you fit NUTT_TREE requirements, then please join us. First off you need to see if you are Nutty material, to do this before you go any further, please read the NUTT_TREE RULES, CHAIN OF COMMAND, & THE NUTTY CREED.

Ok, you are back, so you are still interested. To join our team you must first get a Nutty name. Our team has formatted names and they must be in this format.

Every Nutty has a name that starts with Nutty, the N must be capital, then after Nutty comes an underslash, then the name in the middle is what you decide you want to be called, follow that by another underslash and then the number 13. (For Ex. Nutty_PJ_13, Nutty_Niller_13 and Nutty_Pen_13), are a few of the names on our team. Please get this name first, so you will know you have it before you send in the application.

Now that you have your name, the first thing you need to do is send in the application. The link for the application is also located on our team site. Please fill it out completely, an incomplete application will be rejected.

Now you need to have our homepage saved to your favorites, this is our offical homepage with links and information that is vital to our team, every Nutty should look at our homepage as often as possible for updates and changes that will be posted here.

Go to our homepage NUTT_TREE , save the site to favorites.

While you are at NUTT_TREE, you will see a box for a mailing list sign-up, please do this now while you are there. This is our official newsletter, and all current and important announcements will be emailed to the team via this newsletter.

Enter your Nutty ladder name and email address, then click subscribe. After you click that button, go to your email box. Look for an email it should have came from my email address which is, barnabus1961@aol.com, open the email, inside there is a link you must click to verify your email address. Until you click that link and see the big thank you page, you have not finished the sign-up.

Since we are using a free server for this newsletter, the load is sometimes very large on the service. You may not receive the email right away, normally it comes within 1 minute. If after that allotted time you still have not received it, please subscibe on the site until you do receive it.

That means entering your info again and clicking subscribe. Sometimes it takes a few times to get the email, depending on the time of day you do it. After you click the link in the email and see the thank you page, you are done.

Next is the ladder sign ups.
Click this link, NHS Ladder first add the site to favorites, as you will need to return here to report losses and to check your standings, look for the free sign up link on the top left corner of the site. Click it, this is done in 4 steps. The first 2 steps will ask for your ladder name and your password , enter you Nutty name and your password, step 3, this is important, on step 3 uncheck all the boxes, if you don't you will be re-directed to another page, a lot of people get lost when this happens and never get to finish sign-ups for the ladder, so make sure you uncheck all the boxes on step 3, then click continue,
you should be brought directly to step 4. This ask you to enter an activation code number that gets emailed to you, check your email, open it and get the activation key number and enter it in step 4. Click the finish button and you should see it say account activated. Now you are on the ladder.

You still can't play that ladder until either Nutty_Katy_13, Nutty_Seekar_13 or Nutty_Niller_13, place you on our team, when you are finished with the ladder sign-ups you should email the captain or Co-captain's to request being added to the ladder rosters.

You can't play a ladder game until you see your name on the ladder roster, you can check by clicking the roster links that are available on the homepage.

After you completed the NHS sign up, repeat the steps to sign up for MAS, Click this link, MAS Ladder

NUTT_TREE plays Rated Rooms, Tourney Rooms and the NHS & MAS Ladders. Both ladders are played in our GamingPeak room, (NUTTHOUSE SPADES & Mystical Alternative Spades room). The format for the NHS ladder is regular spades with or without DN, The MAS ladder format is alternate games,(mirrors and reg), you must ask for your preference in your addy for the game.

To addy for a game in NHS you would say, NHS @@@@@@@ 13 REG/NDN, this tells the room the league, NHS, the number of the table that you are sitting at, 13, and the name of the game you are playing , REG/NDN, (regular with no double nil).

To addy a game for MAS, you say MAS @@ 13 8hm WHIZ, (Mystical Alternative Spades at table 13, 8 hand mirror whiz), You can also play regular.

A team will sit and then you play, when the table opens up, you should always announce your teams ladder name, to let them know who they are playing.

Our team name on NHS and MAS is Nutty Friends.
After the game is over, win or lose you should not leave the table until the game is reported.

One member of the losing team must go to the ladder site to report the loss of the game to the winning team. If you won the game you must wait until the other team says the game has been reported before you leave the table, always check the standings to make sure the game was reported, do not leave the table if it wasn't, the table is the only proof you have that you played that team and won.

If you lost the game, then either you or your partner must go to the ladder site and report the loss, you ask which one will do it and once agreed you go to the site, look for the report loss link on left side of the site.

Click it, It will take you to a page that asks you to enter your ladder name and password, enter it and click the button. You then will be asked to enter the name of the team that you played, at the beginning of the game they should have told you, enter their team name exactly as spelled, it is case sensitive. then click the buttton.

You are now inside the report loss section, on the Nutty side look for your partners name in the drop down box under yours, find it and click on it to place your partners name in the box.

Then go to the other teams side and locate both players names that were in the game with you. Make sure before clicking report loss, that all 4 names showing in the box are the 4 people involved in the game.

To report a loss or a win to someone not involved in your game is a violation of the ladder rules and there will be penalties. If done correctly, the page that comes up should tell you that your team was defeated by the other team.

Go back to the table and tell the other team that the game has been reported. Then and only then can you and your partner leave the table. Both players should stay until report is done, win or lose.

You can ask a Nutty for a game in rated , social, tourneys or any of the ladder leagues. Remember, this is why we have a team so you have a friendly reliable partner to play with.

Optional features for being a Nutty.

We like to think of ourselves as a family and to better meet that feeling on our team we offer a way for all to get to know each other better.

Once you are signed up for NUTT_TREE, a page will be made for you. On this page will be all the links to your ladder stats, this is your page, you can send in a picture and a bio about yourself to Nutty_Niller_13 , and I will add it to your page.

To get an idea of what the pages are about click the pics & bios link, all the Nuttys pages are located there. Again, the picture and bio is optional for your page, but we do try to encourage our members to do so.

The Nutty Forum
This is a link also located on the team site, it is an interactive forum for you to use to communicate with your team mates, have fun and post messages to each other.

The Adopted Nutts page
This started out as a novel idea that a lot of people loved. They thought it was a great idea and kind of a fun thing to do. You can adopt an animated Nutt.

Go to the Adopted Nutt link on the team homepage, you can see all the Nutts that were already adopted by your fellow Nutty's. To Adopt one yourself, click the 4nuttsonly banner on the page, then click the adopt a nutt link, look through the dormitories, and email Nutty_Niller_13 , the name of the nutt you would like to adopt, please don't pick a nutt that was already adopted by another Nutty. You don't have to request a banner, the banner is already on the Adopted Nutt page. Just send me the name of the nutt you want and I will add them to the page.

Basically this page is here to facilitate your sign up on NUTT-TREE and to give you an idea of how to sign up for the ladders and how to addy and report losses for them. I tried to be as complete as I could be, but I may have forgotten something. I am, after all, just a Nutty_Niller_13, lol.
