Well, I'm trying it now. I opted to put the icons on the personal toolbar area... And I went for showing just 3 days but with day and night forecasts.
It looks fairly useful, but my favorite looking weather tool is Konfabulator. Unfortunately, it isn't free so I stopped using it. But their desktop tools look absolutely wonderful. I would love to know how they did it. Somehow they are drawing on the desktop using an alpha channel. I can do the shaped windows stuff, but I have never been able to do a shaped window that has an alpha channel.

I have Konfabulator at the office. It looks good, but I agree -- not enough there worth paying for.
