Why I'm glad I use Python

Python is actively developed and maintained by a core group of interested developers. Fortunately, they don't buy into any of the nay-sayers and just continue to quietly and determinedly improve the language. Meanwhile, languages like Ruby have significant barriers to performance and feature improvements.
