An International Banquet will be held with as many countries represented as can be decided! Displays of trips taken by the membership of Belleville will be on view. All are encouraged to participate.
Historic Dress Sunday
Dresses and men’s apparel fashioned after the styles of 1808 (made by students of fashion at the Greater
Lawrence Technical School) will be worn for the service and may be worn at the second and fourth
Sunday services the remainder of the year.
Historic House Dinners. Menus in keeping with the period of the house (Colonial, Federal, Greek Revival and Victorian). By reservation.
We will be having a concert featuring world-renowned Ken Medema. Ken is a pianist and singer who began his career as a music therapist. All of his music has the intent of personal transformation and community building. Audiences are continually awed by his ability to compose on the spot, and by the compassion and triumph expressed in his songs.
Belleville Celebrates its 200th Year as a Presence in Newburyport! Please plan to attend this service as the history of our past is acknowledged and honored. Following the Service, there will be a Banquet.
A literary talk is planned in conjunction with the Newburyport Literary Festival.
Old-fashioned May Day Celebration.
Fashion Show through Belleville’s history, 1808-2008. Fashions of the last 200 years will be modeled at a High Tea with narration. Open to the public, tickets available. Attendees are invited to model outfits of their own.
