Audrey Wozniak

Audrey Wozniak's debut performance of Mendelssohn' Violin Concerto in E Minor with the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra marks the fourth generation in her family to perform with the orchestra. Her family members have performed with the Philharmonic since the 1940's, including her great-grandfather, both of her grandparents and, currently, her uncle. Ms. Wozniak is a frequent performer in Texas, and has won seats in local and regional orchestras, chamber groups and as a solo performer. Audrey recently made her debut on the national stage where she performed Mahler's Symphony No. 1 in D. Major with the prestigious ASTA National High School Honors Orchestra in Santa Clara, California. Over the past couple of years, Audrey has enjoyed performing with Texas All-State Orchestras and last year won the leadership position of Assistant Concertmaster with the TPSMEA Texas All-State Orchestra.

Audrey, age 16, is a senior in high school at St. Stephen's Episcopal School in Austin, Texas.
Audrey plays on a 269-year-old, German Barthol Karner violin (1741);the same instrument her great-grandfather performed on with the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra.

Anthony Laciura

Anthony.jpg

Born and educated in New Orleans, Mr. Laciura has been enjoying himself since the age of 12. Following his music and academic studies at Loyola and Tulane universities, the late Arthur Cosenza, general director of the local opera company, recognized the youngster's talents as both tenor and actor and assigned him several difficult featured roles, among them Goro in Madama Butterfly,Monostatos in The Magic Flute,Incredibile in Andrea Chenier Basilio in Le Nozze di Figaro, and Spoletta in Tosca. These roles Laciura would ultimately sing with the Met.

He has also appeared in many musicals. Tony was "Tony" in both West Side Story and The Most Happy Fella, as well as having roles in The Student Prince and, as Tevye, in Fiddler on the Roof.

Recordings and video productions have only added to the tenor's international reputation as, to quote from the Washington Post, one of the outstanding character tenors of our time. Headlining the review, the Post blatantly labeled him The Clown Prince of Opera! The New York Times leading music critic simply stated that he is a master of such parts, and Terence McNally, during a Met radio broadcast, identified him as a Singer of the Century.

With master classes and directorial work with young opera singers, Laciura is currently stretching his career to include assignments on the other side of the footlights. Apprentice artists with the Santa Fe Opera and the Glimmerglass Opera have already enjoyed working with this consummate artist.

Laciura's directing career seems to be gaining momentum with recent projects at New Jersey City University and teaching stage craft and role interpretation for The Marina Arroyo Foundation.

Mr. Laciura will be starring in the HBO series, Boardwalk Empire, directed by Martin Scorsese to premiere in the fall of 2010.
