Dahn Mu DoDahn= Energy
Mu= Infinite
Do= Training
Tonight I had my first Dahn Mu Do training. Dahn Mu Do is a 5,000 year old Korean martial art which focuses on
healing rather than self defense. Dahn Mu Do teaches us that our bodies are limitless.
Han-Nim, the master instructor, is the most calm and benevolent human being I have ever met. He exudes peace and
strength. I am so happy to be his student.
I feel so fortunate to be a part of the Dahn Center. I am lucky God has placed wonderful Korean people
in my life so I can help JiHwan form a sense of cultural identity.
The road to our child has taken me many places. I can't wait to see what is around the bend.

Compliments I Have Recently ReceivedPeople love to get compliments. Getting a compliment makes both the giver and receiver feel good about
themselves. Sometimes, compliments are given directly and purposefully. Othertimes, compliments are given inadvertantly.
Still other times, a comment is made which is not meant as a compliment, but is taken as one regardless.
Some of the compliments I have received recently are as follows (I will keep the "complimentors" anonymous to protect
the innocent)...
I'm so glad I met you.
You are a great poker player.
I knew you would be a great mother.
Your pronunciation [of Korean language] is perfect.
You are a beautiful person.
If you were my wife; I would be much happier right now.
She's 'ballsy'.
Give someone a compliment today. You will make the world a better place!

The Murphy Chicken Continued...Apparently, on the night the chicken was "kilt", a judge got up at midnight to sign a warrant so the deputy could
go hook up the "mean guy".
Need I say more?

The Murphy ChickenOkay, so we decided we would drive to Southern Oregon to spend Eric's last week off of work (tear, sniff, sniff) and
Easter with Big Papa and Halmoni.
What you have to understand is that we really drove four and a half hours to So Ore so we could drive three and a half
hours more to Redding, California and eat at In N Out Burger. Which we did the day after we got here.
When you drive from the Portland metro area to Grants Pass and all points south, you are really driving in a time warp. He
who says no one has invented a time machine has not driven south on I-5 for any length of time. What's cool is
that eventually you get to Los Angeles; so it all works out in the end.
Today Halmoni and Ansley went to buy the last minute groceries for the Easter feast. Since our "home" is quite
a way from town, we had to buy ice at a tiny little store in Murphy, so it would not melt in the car on the drive home.
In front of the Murphy Ray's Food Place there was a rooster...
"Hey, Mom", says Ansley, "Want a chicken?"
"That's the Murphy chicken", replies Halmoni.
???
"The Murphy Chicken?"
"Yah, it lives here and sleeps in the free periodicals rack", says Halmoni. "Well, actually, that's the other Murphy
chicken. The first chicken was kidnapped and murdered. Someone replaced it with the new chicken."
???
"Kidnapped and murdered?"
"Yes, there was a public outcry. It was front page news! It was killed by a mean guy in Williams" (the
very town Halmoni and Big Papa live in).
"That is the most stupid thing I have ever heard!", said Ansley.
Yes, folks, we have entered the land of kidnapped-murdered-grocery-store-mascot fowl. The Twilight Zone's got nothing
on this place.
We can't believe we ever lived here. No offense if you live here!
Praise God and Happy Easter!
