Bethel United Church of Christ invites you to TAKE A HIKE ... literally (with us)!

Most of our recent visitors to Bethel United Church of Christ have been on the "younger" side  -- what a delight! Wouldn't it be great to have an opportunity to meet each other?

Here's how (while proving we are an "active" church!): We're planning a special walk/hike just for our recent visitors Saturday afternoon, June 7, at Arlington's Potomac Overlook Park -- nothing too strenuous but a chance to get out with others in a beautiful spot.

And for the icing on the cake, so to speak ...

Afterwards, we'll head back to Bethel for our annual church-wide Strawberry Festival ... and you'll receive a complimentary coupon for one free "Bethel Special" -- strawberries and ice cream on a biscuit. Also available: hot dogs, other goodies ... and casual conversation with Bethel's members.

For the hike, we'll meet at the church at 2:30 - 2:45 pm (in the adjacent Red Cross parking lot -- entrance on N. Trenton St.) and carpool to the park. The walk will be about an hour and does involve crossing a creek several times on rocks -- the creek's only a few inches deep, and the descent to the Potomac River is worth it! (If it's more convenient for you, you can meet us at the park -- off Military Rd. at Marcey Rd.)

The Strawberry Festival goes from 4 to 7 and if you're not a hiker you're certainly welcome to attend just it -- we'd like to see you again either way! Volunteers to help set up or clean up are doubly welcome!!
