MINISTRIES: HUNGER, HOMELESS, HEALTH
Bethel is intimately involved in the life of our community
and participates in several programs for the hungry, homeless, or
otherwise needy.
- About six times a year children and adults from Bethel bag
canned and dry foods at the Arlington
Food Assistance Center (www.AFACinfo.org) for
weekly distribution to needy families. See pictures
from AFAC bagging
- Bethelites are among the many volunteers who work at the Arlington Free Clinic
(www.arlingtonfreeclinic.org),
where
uninsured residents of Arlington with low or no income may obtain
health care.
- Arlington's Residential
Program Center (RPC) provides
temporary shelter for homeless men and women. Bethel hosts a cookout at
RPC every fall and other events intermittently. Bethel has been
involved with RPC in various ways for a number of years. Recently
toiletries were collected and delivered to the Center.
We welcome your participation in these
activities!
