• SAVE THE DATE - SUNDAY DECEMBER 13, 2009 -- The Women's Organization's Annual Chanukah Party/Goods & Services Raffle.
  
  We are having a dairy lunch, castle moon bounce, childrens' games, entertainment and lots of fun. Raffles will be available soon for sale if you can't attend and still want to support us and join in the fun.
  
  ......Does anyone have a vacation home, exercise equipment, toys, children's clothes, bikes, appliances, cameras, to donate??? Everything new is welcome.
  
  If you have some unneeded treasures or original handmade and/or homemade goodies to contribute to this year’s raffle, please call Rita @ 610-642-1791 to arrange a mutually convenient time to drop them off at her house by Nov. 30, if possible.
  
  Some ideas are: flower vases, art books, serving plates and bowls, towels and mitts, glassware, picture frames, CDs, wallets, mugs, computer items, cookbooks, tools. “Services” could be tutoring, music lessons, babysitting.....homemade desserts or challah.....Shabbos Dinner....lawn work...Be original!!!! Do your thing!!!!
  
  To join a committee (visiting merchants for their donations, distribution of flyers to neighbors, set-up on Dec.12 about 7pm, luncheon prep, kids’ games, clean-up and/or shul restoration about 2:30pm on Dec.13) please email Rita @ lensmall@juno.com to give of your time and expertise. Lots of help is needed to make this a successful event.
   
• SHUL ANNOUNCEMENTS
  • Thank you to David Eckmann who will speak Shabbos morning prior to Musaf, and to Elazar Raymon who will speak at Shalosh Seudos.
  • On Sun, Dec 13 we will officially welcome Rabbi Yonah Gross and his family to our community at the annual Women’s Org Chanukah Party and Raffle. Please contact Rita Small if you have any new items or services to offer for the raffle.

  • Beth Hamedrosh is a cosponsor of the Torah Academy Family Fun Day Concert next Sun, Nov. 15,1 PM at TA, featuring the music of Lenny Solomon & the dedication of the new TA gym floor & playground. See board for details.
  • Midreshet Yom Rishon presents a lecture by Mrs. Nechama Price, Associate Professor at Stern College for Women, on Sun, Nov 22, at LMS.  The topic of the shiur will be "Family Dynamics:  Was Yitzchak Following in his Father's Footsteps?" There will be light refreshments at 9:30 a.m., followed by the shiur at 10:00 a.m. in the Beit Midrash. Complimentary babysitting is available for children ages 1+.
  • Rabbi Menachem Leibtag will speak at LMS tonight, Nov 7, at 8:30 p.m. on the topic "What does the “choshen” have to do with “choshen mishpat”:  How the Torah sees the relationship between religious and civil laws."  Coffee and cheesecake will be served.
