'Church' from Greek 'kyriakon' the Lords House. The word 'kuriakos' means 'the Lords'. However neither is used for the word church in the Bible. The word for church in the New Testament is 'ekklesia' meaning 'that which is called out'. It is used with this meaning 115 times. It is only through modern day religion that people believe that the church is a place instead of it's true meaning a people called out of this world of sin into a citizenship of Gods holiness.

Christianity today claims to have 2 billion followers of both Protestant and Catholic faiths. I say faiths because they are vastly different. Of those 2 billion only 5% claim to have a personal relationship with Jesus and give testimony that He is the only way to salvation. Even well known people such as 'mother Teresa' say that there are many paths to God ( Hinduism, Muslim, Buddhists, etc.).

While the cults today preach a different Jesus and the Catholic church preaches another way to salvation, only a small remnant of true believers stand for the truth in following Jesus. The Bible tells that in the last days there will be a great falling away from the faith. We are seeing that happen today but when the Anti-Christ arrives luke warm Christians will not be ready to give their lives for the truth. They will be ready to believe a lie.

Many can attest that are good church members but God isn't looking for that, He will be looking for followers of Jesus and doers of the Word.
