Haskell Free Library and Opera HouseDerby Line's beautiful Haskell Free Library and Opera House is an historic landmark that hosts outstanding concerts. The border between the United States and Canada runs right through the middle of the hall. The audience sits in one country while the players perform in the other!

The Colby-Curtis MuseumThe Colby-Curtis Museum is operated by the Stanstead Historical Society, and is housed just across the border in Stanstead, Quebec, in a home whose architecture was inspired by Renaissance design concepts. The interior reflects the lifestyle of the 19th century upper middle class.

The museum's collections of fine art, textiles, furniture, ethnological objects and archives reflect the settlement of the border area between Quebec and Vermont. Tours are conducted in English and in French.

The Old Stone House MuseumThe Old Stone House Museum in nearby Brownington is part of the Brownington Village Historic District, listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Built as a school dormitory in the 1830's, this four-story structure was designed and erected by a man believed to be America's first African American college graduate and first African American legislator, the Reverend Alexander Twilight.

Today it is a very special museum displaying the tools and kitchenware, the needlework and crafts, the furniture and art of the region's past.
