Licensing

According to current laws, dogs must have a current license (renewable every one or three years) with proof of rabies vaccine at all times. We strongly encourage you to also vaccinate and license your cats, as this will create a safer environment for the two-and four-legged people in your home and will make it easier to reunite you with your pets should they get lost.

Fees

1-Year Altered (spayed/neutered) $9.00

1-Year Unaltered $19.00

3-Year Altered (spayed/neutered) $18.00

3-Year Unaltered $48.00

Replacement Tags $5.00

*3-Year vaccinations require a 3-year tag

**3-Year tags require a new 3-year vaccination

Microchipping

Douglas County Animal Control will microchip your pet for $15.00. The microchip includes registration into the 24Hour PetWatch national database and an optional health release that will allow facilities who find your dog to properly care for it if it has special needs.

Microchipping services are available every day during regular business hours. No appointments necessary--just come on in!
