We are blessed with visitors from all over the country and we have some who are with us for extended stays this season.  This adds to our worship and we are thankful for the opportunity to be with these folks.  We are also having visitors from the community and we encourage them to return and be with us.

We had a wonderful day of fellowship and worship yesterday.  The weather was beautiful and we again were blessed with a number of visitors.  Please take note of those who are in need of your prayers and service. 

 

We plan to study 1st Corinthians 11 concerning the wearing of the veil in worship.  This is still a divisive subject and leads to the broader discussion of what a woman can and cannot do in the public assembly of the church.  We pray for the Lord's direction as we study this interesting topic. 

 

Sunday morning we plan to move into the book of Deuteronomy.  This is a repeating of the law and consist of three speeches by Moses.  I am looking beyond this to the study of Joshua.  Moses rule has come to an end and a new leadership is established for God's people. 

 

 

We have had a good start to this year 2006 and it is our prayer that God will continue to bless the Midway congregation.  Please continue to remember all of those who have physical problems.  We have a couple of members who are very ill and need our prayers.  We continue to have visiitors both from out of town and the community.  This is a great opportunity.  

We had a great day of fellowship and worship yesterday at Midway.  The Lord continues to bless us with a number of visitors.  Tonight we hope to discuss our "Concern for the Churches" program at our monthly leader's meeting.  This program we want to use to attract more winter visitors and retirees to our congregation. 

 

 

We are having a great week of service to the Lord.  Chuck Monan has presented a great lesson each time that he has spoken and we are very impressed with his talents.  We are also thankful for the support of visitors and our sister congregations during our gospel meeting. 

 

 

Yesterday was a great day at Midway.  Chuck Monan presented three great lessons from God's word and we had a wonderful time of fellowship and worship.  We are very thankful for the number of visitors who were active in the day's events. 

 

I am also thankful for April and Kris placing membership with Midway.  These ladies will be wonderful assets to our family. God continues to bless us!

It was good to be back with  the church last evening and I appreciate all the prayers and encouragement during my absence.  We were blessed with a number of visitors last night and that is a good sign.
