I have missed Bud and Sue these last few weeks and I will be glad that they will get back today. Bud is a good
influence and mentor for me. This summer we plan to complete our studies in Luke, 2nd Corinthians and Judges.
If it is the Lord's will, we want to begin a study of the prison epistles and continue our study in the OT with 1st Samuel.
Please let us know if there are topics are sections of Scripture that you would like for us to examine. If you
are not regularly attending our classes, we want to encourage you to do so. They will be for your benefit. We
do have good studies from God's word with good discussion and challenging questions. In all of our classes we try to
find something that is applicable for us to use today.

We had a great day at Midway and it is good when we can have a special day of worship and fellowship. Please keep
Joleen in your prayers as she came forward at last evening's service.

Workshop
Carole and I just returned from the "Spiritual Growth Workshop" in Orlando. The theme was "A Heritage of Hope."
I heard Prentice Meador speak four times and I really enjoyed his message. I also got to hear Paul Faulkner for the
first time in along time.
It is good to break your routine and this certainly is a good way to grow spiritually. May God bless our worship
tomorrow!

We have made a lot of changes to the site and
we do have photo on the Midway site now. Please take a look! We had a great morning of worship and study and we

This has thus far been a peaceful summer's week at
Midway. We have had a lot of rain but that has not deterred our activities. We had a good Tuesday event, our second
of four scheduled for this summer. Bob Evans is doing a great job teaching us the basics of using a computer.
I do miss all who have not been with us lately.
Some are traveling, others are physically unable to be with us and a third group are those that need transportation to our
services. Eng is doing a good job with several but we miss those who Scott and Marsha would bring on a regular basis.
Carole and I plan to be in Orlando for the "Spiritual
Growth Workshop" next week and we are looking forward to that. It is hard to believe that we are well into July again.
We are also making changes to this web site that will hopefully be more usable and appealing. Please send any suggestions
that you might have. Let us know you are at least taking a visit to this site. May God bless your day!

We had a great day at Midway with good attendance and fellowship. It is good when we can go to the house of the
Lord and worship. This Wednesday we plan to examine the life of Gideon. Please read Judges 6-8 and come and be
a part of this Bible study.

We still have several people away and I miss not having our regular family all together in the summer months. We
do pray that God will protect each of us during our travel this season.
John has agreed to drive to Orlando for the Spiritual Growth Workshop on the 22nd. Please give thought to attending
that event. It will benefit you.
Next Tuesday is our second special Tuesday of the summer. The first went very well and we encourage you to take
part in this day of fellowship and work.

We had a very nice weekend with a lot of visitors. We celebrated Mary Partin's life yesterday and I enjoyed being
with the family.

Mary Partin
Visitation will be tomorrow afternoon and the funeral for Mary will be Monday morning at 10:00. After the burial
the family will have a meal together with friends at the church building. Please come and be a part of this day as we
celebrate Mary's life.
