 I also appreciate all tha RB does around the property. I know a
lot of days he does not feel like working but goes ahead anyway. His doctor recommended that he get a walker; but how
would he climb a ladder with a walker?

Dean
Dean had his teeth pulled successfully this week and I am very grateful

Romans
Tonight we begin a study of the book of Romans. This will
be our second tour of this great treatise since I have been with you, we also studied this work in 2005. William Tyndale,
the translator, said that Romans is a book that cannot be studied too often and I agree. It is so rich and deep that
each time through many new lights are set a glow.

Painting a Wall
Charlie is painting the wall next to Cragers and I appreciate what

Church Growth
CHURCH GROWTH
According
to the current “Christian Chronicle” members of the “Church of Christ” in the United States are at their lowest number since
1980. That paper suggest there are four things we need to grow:
1. We
must become more diverse if we are to reach our culture. We remain mostly white
and affluent.
2. We
must make the eternal faith relevant to the young people who grow up in our congregations.
3. We
must plant new congregations outside the Bible Belt.
4. We
must pledge allegiance anew to our first love.
RB,
Helen, Bud, Sue, and myself heard Rex Dutton speak on church growth, Friday at North River.
His summary was focused on point number four. God is involved with all
church growth. We must practice what we believe and firmly believe what we believe. If we do that the Lord will add to our number as He chooses. Do you really believe?
We
are in a period of activity at Midway like none that I have experience since being here and I believe the Lord is growing
us. Please catch the spirit and let others see your love for the Lord and His
church. May He continue to bless us!
North River
Helen, Sue, RB, Bud, and myself went to North River last evening
and heard Rex Dutton present a lesson on church growth. Rex and Deb work with the Bell Shoals congregation in Brandon.
North River has a nice facility and a good core of Christians to
go into the future with. My prayer is that all of us will grow closer to the Lord, closer to one another, and grow numberically
as well.

Super Sunday
What a great day we had at Midway yesterday. It truly was
a super Sunday. We had a dozen visitors for worship, two restorations, and Darren Falterman was baptized. It was
a special day.
