Sonbeam Day School

Quality Education with a Christian Focus

The Sonbeam Day School preschool program is part of an outreach service and ministry of Emory Baptist Church.  We want to provide each child with a positive educational beginning through quality Christian education and care in a safe, happy learning environment.  Our desire is to provide creative learning and sharing experiences, which will help each child develop spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, physically, and socially.

We believe a Christian education is an important part of a child’s development.  It is far easier to instill Christian family values if the messages they receive at home and in church are reinforced at preschool.  Our smaller classes ensure that teachers can devote more time to each student and focus on individual needs.  We utilize a combination of the Texas Baptist Weekday and A Beka Christian-based curricula.

Our program serves children who are three and four years of age (as of September 1 of the current school year).  Classes meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Our school opens the last Tuesday of August.   We follow closely the Rains ISD school calendar for holidays and early release days. 

Tuition of $150.00 is due the first day of each school month thereafter.

Discounts are available for immediate families with more than one child in attendance.  Limited scholarships are available.
