The Sonbeam
Day School preschool program is part of an outreach service and ministry of Emory Baptist Church. We want to provide each child with a positive educational beginning through quality Christian education
and care in a safe, happy learning environment. Our desire is to provide creative
learning and sharing experiences, which will help each child develop spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, physically,
and socially. We believe
a Christian education is an important part of a child’s development. It
is far easier to instill Christian family values if the messages they receive at home and in church are reinforced at preschool. Our smaller classes ensure that teachers can devote more time to each student and
focus on individual needs. We utilize a combination of the Texas Baptist Weekday
and A Beka Christian-based curricula. Our program
serves children who are three and four years of age (as of September 1 of the current school year). Classes meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Our school opens the first Tuesday of
September and closes for summer vacation from June-August. We follow closely
the Rains ISD school calendar for holidays and early release days. Currently,
a supply fee of $75.00 and first month’s tuition of $120.00 per student are required to enroll. Tuition of $120.00 is due the first day of each school month thereafter. Beginning
September 2010 tuition will be $150.00 per month per student, due on the first day of the month. There is no longer a supply fee required. Discounts
are available for immediate families with more than one child in attendance. Limited
