"There's an atmosphere of deep reverence as one kneels or sits in the presence of Jesus in the Eucharist and it's a great comfort to know my prayers are heard.  'Could you not watch one hour with me' is an invitation to all; our Host is pleased when we accept."
- Margaret W.

Why do others come to Adoration?

"A conversation with Jesus.  That is what my hour of Adoration is to me.  I talk for a while and then I listen.  I get an overwhelming feeling of love and power after my hour is up."  - Betty Dudek
"Wednesday Adoration gives me one on one time without distraction to praise Jesus.  It allows me to refresh my spirit in the middle of the week."  - Tony Rivera

"Eucharistic Adoration is a marvelous gift from Jesus to each one of us.  I am able to sit quietly in His presence to talk of my life and concerns, knowing that Jesus will isten and give me comfort and peace.  It is a wondrous time of blessing and renewal each week."  - Marie Grewe

"Holy Hour is an invitation to slow down, be quiet, reconnect with God and yourself, get rid of the world's distractions, feel the power of prayer, find strength to meet life's problems and tragedies, think about the people in your life, pray for them, thank God for you life and humbly ask His help.  Holy Hour is a gift you give yourself.  'Come spend one hour with me,' says the Lord."  - anonymous

"To give adoration is to adore the precious body of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist, who is on the altar."
- Dan Villarial

"It is my special private time to be with our Lord.  Just to talk, to tell Him about my thoughts and feelings.  Pray and thank Him for all His love and blessings."  - D. Artrip

"One of the most admirable effects of Adoration is to maintain in my heart the divine and eternal life of Jesus Christ.  The place is holy, I am in the presence of God, kneeling at His sacred feet, having serious reflections and consoling thought; gaining good for myself and giving pleasure to Him, who delights to be with me also.  'My prayer, my plea, that it may bring me nearer still, dear Lord to Thee.'"  - Audrey Blair
"Eucharistic Adoration was introduced to me as a child.  World War II was waging and I was given the names of 3 soldiers to pray for.  I spent time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament each week, asking for them to be safe.  I felt peaceful and secure in His presence and knew that He heard me.  Yet, all three of my soldiers died.  I knew then at 10 years of age, the peace and joy of accepting God's will.  We are once again at war and He waits for us to come and pray for peace."  - Kathy Roderique

"When I'm in His Eucharistic presence, my first reaction is to recognize there in the monstrance, is the King and Creator of the universe.  He is so awesome and magnificent and I am so insignificant.  I know that where He is, there are the whole host of heavenly angels and saints.  I have the opportunity to join my Guardian angel in worship and adoration of our Lord.  This is the time I can be more intimately present to Him.  Thank you Lord for the gift of yourself."
 - George Flagg

"'No man can come to the Father except the Father... draw Him.'  John 6:44.  When I am called into His presence, I remind myself of where I am and before Whom.  I know that I am looking at Jesus and He is looking at me.  We are present to each other.  His powerful presence makes up for my weakness and so my time there becomes a short method to growth in sanctity.  Because I am with Him during that one hour every week, He is with me every hour of every day.  Thank you, Jesus."  - Carolyn Flagg
