 Sunday 8:00am

This is a quiet dignified service. Before this service there is time for quiet prayer and reflection. During the service we use the Book of Common Prayer for Rite ll Holy Communion.

Sunday 10:00am
This lively service is appropriate for children of all ages. During the school year, children are invited to participate in Sunday School and child care is provided for children under five. After the sermon, at the mid-point of the service, those in Sunday school and child care come in and join us for communion. We have an intergenerational approach to worship and our young and old sing in the choir and actively participate in the service.

Layperson giving communionHoly Communion
Communion is also called Eucharist which means thanksgiving in Greek. During the communion we ask for, give and receive forgiveness from God and from one another. In this way we are drawn together in community, or communion. The bread and the wine which come from God’s creation and are formed by human hands become the body and blood of Jesus. These common gifts are made holy by Christ’s presence. All are welcome at Christ’s table. It is not uncommon to have 90 year olds receiving communion next to babies. We believe that these gifts are given by God to nourish us and strengthen us to do Christ’s work of justice seeking, peace making and reconciliation.

Seasonally
We follow the church calendar, celebrating the seasons of the Church Year. These seasons are Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Easter, and Pentecost. They represent Jesus's birth, life, death, resurrection, ascension and the power of the Holy Spirit. Frequently on major church holidays we celebrate by creating art, acting out plays and offering seasonal music.
