It is with great sadness to inform you of the passing of Mary Lou
McCauley. Our prayers go out to the McCauley Family and friends, as we all will miss her dearly.

***************************************************************************
Mary Lou was born July
17, 1946 to John & Virginia Hawkes, growing up in Varina, she married Johnny McCauley in 1966. While working as an employee of the Virginia Department
of Transportation (since retired), they were blessed with two children, Bonnie and John Jr., and three grandchildren. She
loved her children and grandchildren, going to their birthday parties, recitals and having holiday get-togethers where she
could cook for her family. Vacationing at Nags Head with her family was something that brought comfort and joy to Mary
Lou as she loved the beach.
Mary Lou joined the WOTM
in 1997 at the Richmond East Chapter, transferring to Powhatan in 2003 as a charter member. Earning her Academy of Friendship
card in 2004 then her degree in 2009. She was a valuable co-worker, serving in positions ranging from Health Awareness
Chairwoman to bookkeeper to cook, including musician for 3 years. Members at meetings remember the sound system
going into fits occasionally while playing the Star-Spangled Banner, but Mary Lou working it out and putting a smile
on everyone’s face in the process.
The work she has
done and the dedication she has shown for the Women of the Moose #2258 and the LOOM #1840 has been instrumental
in where the Lodge has come today. Mary Lou always thought of ways to improve the Lodge so we all
would have a great place to come to. W.O.T.M (and L.O.O.M) members will definitely miss Mary Lou greeting us with
smiles and hugs whenever we arrived at the Lodge. Playing pull tabs won’t be the same without Mary
Lou and hearing what she thought when we didn't win.
WE WILL MISS YOU MARY
LOU!!
May God bless you
and your family

Letter from the Administrator
Hello Brothers and Sisters,
Well Summer is almost here, things are going good around the lodge, but things will begin to slow down a little in the
summer.
I would like to say a few things about a member that just passed away. She was a very special person in the Powhatan
Moose Family Center!! She touched a lot of hearts here. It was said by a few that all she was, was a bookkeeper
and she could be replaced, I beg to differ. She was a great asset to the Lodge and no one can replace her as fas as
I'm concerned!! She did a lot for the Lodge and she kept on heck of a set of books! The person I am speaking about
is my wife, Mary Lou McCauley.
Thank You
Administrator
Johnny McCauley

SPECIAL NOTE
I want to thank all the WOTM and LOOM members that prepared the food at the Moose Lodge after the funeral. Thanks
so much, I can't say Thank You enough for all the food and work.
Johnny McCauley

TERESA'S KITCHEN
Because of how the food is purchased, it is next to impossible to know
what the Friday nite Dinner special will be in time to post it to the Web Site. Please call
the Moose Lodge at 598-2809 to find out the menu. What ever Teresa prepares, you know it will
be Great!
