We Are Nature's Team -
W.A.N.T.
Mondays,  Nov 16th through Dec 14th
3:30pm - 5:15pm
 
Join our team and be in the forefront of nature protectors! Poricy Park's experienced and trained instructors will lead nature explorations and instill an appreciation of nature through experiements, crafts, and hands-on activities. Team size is limited, so please register early to give your child the healthy benefits that outdoors and nature exploration provides. Meet at the Nature Center
 
Fee: Paid registration required minimum of one week prior to session attending
 
For each individual session:
Members $13.50/session; Non members $15/session
 

It's Still Happening!
Tuesday, Nov 17th
7:00pm - 8:30pm
 
Join us for some stimulating conversation and relaxing tea in our 1770  New Jersey State Historical Murray Farmhouse parlor!  November's Theme - Holiday customs through time. Special guests fromt he reenacting group 'Past Muster' as well as others will participate! Not necessary to commit to all sessions. Meet at the Murray Farmhouse (may use gravel road & park at farmhouse) - Must pre-register at least one week prior to each session.

Knitting Bee
Tuesdays, Nov 10th, 24th & Dec 8th
7:00pm - 8:00 pm
 
It's time to create that special homemade gift! We will teach everyone from the "never held a knitting needle" person to experienced knitters who would like to knit in the company of other knitters and everyone in-between. From knit and purl to textured patterns, you can learn! All levels of knitters will be advised upon registration as to what they need to bring. Not necessary to commit to all  sessions.  Meet at Nature Center -Must pre-register at least one week prior to each session.

Trail Blazers
Sunday, Nov 8th
9:00am - 11:30am
 
Trail Blazers is on going. Poricy Park needs you! Please volunteer an hour and a half of your time to this amazing collection of habitats. We'll work together to keep paths accessible. Bring your snips (if you have them) and wear your work gloves. We wish to be prepared, so we will need you to let us know that you are coming by the Friday prior to the event! Reuse! Recycle! Make A Gift!
Sunday, November 15th 3pm-4pm
Here is the perfect opportunity to combine 'What can I do with that?' and 'I'm bored!' Join us as we create such items as magazine holders, banks, napkin rings etc. Each participant will be able to choose two items to create and then take them home to use or give as personal gifts! Please register in advance so that we can prepare the materials needed! Meet at the Nature Center.
Fee: $5 members; $8 non-members
 
Putting Food By!
Sunday, November 22nd 3pm-4pm
People have been preserving the bounties of harvest for generations and passing the knowledge on to the next. Check in to this program and check out ways of preservation without the names of ingredients you cannot pronounce! Please call and let us know you are coming. Meet at the Murray Farmhouse.
 
Left Overs Hike
Friday, November 27th 10am-11am
Walk away from the leftovers in your refrigerator and join us for a relaxed nature hike through the scenic Poricy Park trails. We will look around and see what is 'left over' from the growing season and discover nature's seasonal wonders! Please pre-register so that we know you are coming! Appropriate for all ages. Meet at the Nature Center.
 

Community Program Fees
Poricy Park Conservancy strives to provide quality programs at a reasonable cost to our visitors. Your generous contributions assist us in sustaining our operation. Unless otherwise noted, recommended program donations are $3 for members and $5 for non-members.
 
Pre-Registration is requested for all programs unless noted otherwise, allowing us to plan supplies and instructor coverage accordingly. Although walk-in registration the day of the program is available, a program will be cancelled if the pre-registration minimum is not met the day before.
 
Please ask us if you are in doubt of age appropriateness of any program. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
 
Programs are held rain or shine so please dress accordingly.
